Children Ministry
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
The children’s ministry; also known as Sunday School, is very essential to us as a church, because it is the first point of transformation.
This ministry connects the children with Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Story.
In Mark 10:14 Jesus said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these”.
With the help of dedicated team, the ministry is responsible for training the kids with practical and interesting lessons about Jesus Christ and God’s kingdom, and also teaching them bible centered songs and stories.
This helps the children become more and more like Jesus over time. We teach them how to pray, and we pray with them and for them as well.
As we invite children to connect with Jesus through the scriptures, they transform as the grace and glory of Jesus is revealed.
The aim is for children to abandon every worldly allegiance and be relentlessly committed to Jesus.
The main aim of the Children Ministry is to draw them to Jesus Christ and to build an intimate relationship with Him. We want to see them growing up to be Healthy and responsible citizen who will make positive impact in nations.
The ministry is informed, as children internalize God’s word, which gives meaning and value to their lives.
Our Children’s ministry is relational, as they get together with Jesus and other children, and they are increasingly captivated by Him as they see His glory, wonder and beauty; embracing Him in their hearts, and genuinely surrendering their lives to live only all for Him. It matures as they worship and walk in His ways (Philippians 2:10-11, Psalm 128:1).
The final goal of the children’s ministry isn’t limited to teaching Bible stories, equipping the children to participate in a community of faith, moral instruction, or cultivating children’s spiritual health.
Instead, our focus on the children’s ministry is first and foremost about Jesus. It is helping children know Jesus as their King and be citizens in His kingdom.
Considering this verse of Scripture: “In him, all things (including children’s ministry) hold together” Colossians 1:17, Jesus is therefore the One who organizes and sustains our children’s ministry. He is the lifeblood, the very pulse of the Children’s ministry. He’s the Person who shapes it and draws it together.
The ministry is presided by an ordained minister of Christ in the church.
